Section 179 Digs Software
Section 179 is all about small business tax deduction made BIG, BIGGER, BIGGEST
Taken straight from Section 179 .org, here’s what this Section 179 of the IRS Code is all about: [allowing] a business to deduct, for the current tax year, the full purchase price of financed or leased equipment and off-the-shelf software that qualifies for the deduction. The equipment purchased, financed or leased must be within the specified dollar limits of Section 179, and the equipment must be placed into service in the same tax year that the deduction is being taken (for example, the equipment must be put into service between January 1st and December 31st of the year the deduction is to be taken.)
Go ahead, do what a small business owner does best! Grab a great opportunity, and leverage whatever tax advantages that become available. This is one deduction which is known to change during the year and that could disappear before you make the decision to keep the money that Section 179 offers.
